New Paragraph
Liturgical ministry is an excellent opportunity to use the talents and gifts that God has given you to fulfill your baptismal call of service to one another. Please prayerfully consider joining one of these ministries. Training is available. Whether your participation is behind the scenes or through a public role of service within the Mass, your contributions help make our liturgies special. The various ministry positions are highlighted in the photo slide below. Scroll through and see how you can serve!
Many parishioners are needed each weekend to serve in various liturgical roles during the Masses.
Scroll through the slider to see how you can get involved and get on the schedule!
Fourth-graders or older may serve as altar servers. Training sessions are held each January
This ministry is open to all confirmed members of the parish
Use your singing or musical talent to help elevate the liturgical celebrations at St. Patrick Catholic Church.
Scheduling for Liturgical Ministries
St. Patrick Parish uses a web-based program to schedule the ministries for Mass. Each quarter you can update your availability, and you will only be scheduled for days you specify you are available. If something changes with your schedule, you can easily request a substitute.
Do you want to be scheduled with other family Members? Do you want to make sure someone in your family is available to watch children in the pew? Do you want to be scheduled no more than once a month? Are you gone most of the summer? Are you gone in the winter? Any of these (and many more) can be easily set up for you.
Other Liturgical Ministry Opportunities
There are additional opportunities to serve the church's liturgical needs that are more behind-the-scenes. These include:
Cleaning of Server Albs
The server albs are cleaned before Christmas and Easter. They check them during the rest of the year to see if they need additional cleaning.
Instructions on how to clean the albs will be given.
Altar Linen Cleaners
Those cleaning the altar linens are responsible for cleaning the fabrics and linens used for the celebration of Mass including, corporals, purificators and towels. Currently we have two who trade off every other week.
Art and Environment
The Art and Environment ministry is responsible for decorating the church for each season. The liturgy committee helps the chair. Other parishioners are welcome to help. Contact the Art and Environment chair for more information.
