Instructions for using Realm to add or update your Time and Talent Survey
Greetings,
St. Patrick Catholic Church provides many opportunities to enrich our faith. This would not be possible without our great base of volunteers and the financial support provided by our faithful parishioners.
We need your help and it will only take a few minutes. To keep our database up-to-date, we are asking each registered member of your household over age sixteen to look at the groups you volunteer with to see if you want to continue serving or if you want to join new groups. If you are new to St. Patrick, we’d love to have you consider several of our volunteer opportunities.
This year we are using our parish data base Realm to complete our Time and Talent survey.
If you access Realm on your computer follow these instructions:
1. Log into Realm at www.onrealm.org.
2. Click on “groups” (along the left side of the screen) to see what groups you belong to. If you are satisfied with the groups that you belong to, you don’t have to do anything else. If you would like to join additional groups, click on “find group,” and then click on the type of group that interests you. You can choose from “Faith Formation (preK-grade 12)”, “Faith Formation (adult)”, “Community Outreach”, “Parish Life”, or “Liturgical Ministries” to see lists of the groups you might want to join.
Click on a group to see its details. Click “Join Group,” then click “Send Request” to let the group leader know you want to join. You will receive an email that you have been added to a group.
3. If you want to withdraw from a group, click on the group, then go to “info,” click on the group leader’s name, then click “chat.” Enter a message that says you want to withdraw from the group and click “send.” Your leader will then remove you from the group.
If you access Realm on your phone or notebook:
1. Open the Realm Connect app, log in and look along the bottom (or top) of your screen for “groups”. If you don’t see “groups”, click on “more” (could be an icon of three bars one on top of the other or three dots denoting a menu) and then on “groups.” It will show you the groups you belong to. If you want to stay with these groups, and you don’t want to join any other groups, you don’t have to do anything else.
Click on groups that interest you to learn more. If you want to join, click on the join button in the upper right corner, a message will tell you that the group leader must okay your request to join. Click okay and you will receive an email letting you know that your request has been confirmed. Do the same for any other groups you would like to join.
3. If you want to withdraw from a group, click on the group, then go to “info,” click on the group leader’s name, then click “chat.” Enter a message that says you want to withdraw from the group and click “send.” Your leader will then remove you from the group.
You might also take a minute to see if anything needs to be updated in your profile (upper right hand corner on your computer, upper left hand corner for a phone or notebook). If your address, phone number, or email have changed, please contact the parish office and we will update the information for you.
If you need assistance, please contact the parish office and we will help you through the process. We will also offer some help sessions. Watch the bulletin and Facebook for details.
If you do not want to complete Time and Talent using Realm, we do have paper copies in the parish office that you can fill out. Pick one up, complete it, and return it to the office or drop it in the collection basket.
Thank you for your contributions to your parish. Please prayerfully consider what gifts you can share with us. If you have any questions, please contact the parish office at (319) 266-3523.
Blessings to you and your family,
Father Ivan Nienhaus
