Monica has an undergraduate degree in theology from Franciscan University of Steubenville and post graduate credits from the University of Notre Dame. She has taught high school and middle school theology at Kuemper Catholic School in Carroll and Newman Catholic School in Mason City. In 2004, she discovered the beauty and wisdom of Catechesis of the Good Shepherd while serving as a coordinator of faith formation at a parish in Des Moines. Since then, Monica has helped begin CGS in 3 parishes, earned certification as a Montessori primary guide, and has trained dozens of adults at St. Patrick here in Cedar Falls, across the Archdiocese, and throughout the Midwest to become CGS catechists who rediscover the beauty and depth of our faith so to share it, and live it, with young children.
