| SOUL MOMENTS: JOURNALING THROUGH ADVENT & BEYONDKeeping a journal about our prayer and relationship with God is a way of reflecting on the footprints he leaves in our lives. How wonderful to be able to look back over the days, weeks, months and years to see how far we have come on our faith journey. Join us for a 2½ hour workshop on either Friday evening, December 5, 2008 from 6:30 – 9:00 pm or Saturday morning, December 6, 2008 from 9:00 – 11:30 am (you may also elect to attend both sessions) in the parish library. It will be a relaxing experience with time for prayer, reflection, reading, writing and food. Diane Flaherty has been journaling for many years and will share her experiences with us. Both sessions of this workshop are limited to 20 people. The cost is $5.00 per session. Pre-registration is strongly recommended. For more information, please call the parish office.

Fair trade products, such as coffee and tea, are grown, harvested and sold by cooperatives of families who earn their living this way. Why not look for other available fair trade products, such as bananas, chocolate, honey, orange juice, pineapple, rice, sugar, and many others. Also, shop at your local farmer’s markets for locally grown produce, flowers and home made items.
Instead of continuously buying new toys for your children or grandchildren, put part of them away and then rotate the various toys from storage to play and back again. Many youngsters find this constant turnover of toys almost like getting new toys ever so often. Also, instead of discarding toys when your children or grandchildren outgrow them, clean and repair them to donate to organizations that provide toys for hospitals or those less fortunate.
